We are an aspiring organisation, and we are looking for equally bold and creative NX CAD, Digital Tools and Process Engineer to join our exciting CAD Digital Tool Process, Promotion & Training team. Nissan is positioned to become the most desirable Asian brand in Europe, and we need your help to get there.
We are seeking a NX CAD, Digital Tools and Process Engineer to be based at Nissan Technical Centre Europe, Cranfield. The applicant will work supporting CAD engineers with their excellent knowledge of NX CAD/CAM/CAE and Teamcenter functionality and workflows. Using their strong knowledge of Siemens NX and Teamcenter systems, the applicant will be able to identify inefficiencies in the CAD processes and be able to develop and deploy new solutions or technology that will benefit users.
The applicant will also be required to support the promotion of our tools, process and training around the business.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Identifying, researching and deploying a more efficient solution to our digital vehicle development workflows through process improvement or new technology proposals.
Create NX CAD models to support training and process development.
Digital Tool Capability: Develop and increase the CAD department knowledge of tools we currently hold.
Involved in CAD Department promotional strategies and activities within NTCE.
Support the management and direction of the NTCE Cross Department Digital Tool Promotional team in order to bring together and make better use of the key capabilities in NTCE.
Ability to undertake FEA single part analysis highly desirable
Produce and maintain supplementary documentation, to support new and existing CAD and CAE processes within the business.
Background and Experience
Educated to HNC or equivalent within an engineering related discipline (automotive desirable)
Knowledge of automotive/ R&D processes an advantage
Experienced NX user including modelling, assemblies, drafting, surfacing
Experienced user of NXPDM Teamcenter application
Have a good working knowledge of CAD processes and workflows
Experience with NX Open/macro or digital automation creation highly desirable
NX experience in harness, motion simulation & FEA would be highly desirable
Have ability to train others if required.
Have good written and verbal communication skills.
Have ability to prioritise and multitask between multiple projects simultaneously.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint.
The ideal candidate will be a focused, highly motivated, results orientated individual who works well under pressure and can work to a given deadline.
Ability to work well within a team environment is essential.
Valid UK/European driving license is essential.
