Description

Company Profile:

Morgan Stanley is a leading global financial services firm providing a wide range of investment banking, securities, investment management and wealth management services. The Firm's employees serve clients worldwide including corporations, governments and individuals from more than 1,200 offices in 43 countries.

As a market leader, the talent and passion of our people is critical to our success. Together, we share a common set of values rooted in integrity, excellence and strong team ethic. Morgan Stanley can provide a superior foundation for building a professional career - a place for people to learn, to achieve and grow. A philosophy that balances personal lifestyles, perspectives and needs is an important part of our culture.

Morgan Stanley is an equal opportunities employer. We work to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where all individuals can maximise their full potential. Our skilled and creative workforce is comprised of individuals drawn from a broad cross section of the global communities in which we operate and who reflect a variety of backgrounds, talents, perspectives and experiences. Our strong commitment to a culture of inclusion is evident through our constant focus on recruiting, developing and advancing individuals based on their skills and talents.

What We Do

The Listed Sales and Trading team is a diverse and inclusive technology team. We are responsible to build and manage some of the most critical trading platforms of Morgan Stanley. Our engineers are creative in solving operating problems, understand the big picture, build and integrate tools to automate sales and trading flows. We are working directly with our institutional clients (sales and trading desks, external clients) to help manage and transfer their risk.

Our massively scalable software and systems cover a wide-range of asset classes, from traditional equities cash, derivatives, ETF, FX, to large part of Fixed Income, commodities, bonds, swaps and cross-asset instruments. We support fully automated low-latency order handling up to highly complex manual and customized workflow required by some of our advanced users. We develop cutting-edge systems that are transforming our key business and enable transactions to occur in microseconds.

While our Front Ends stack is mainly based on the .Net framework (C# & WPF) we are also increasingly getting into Web technologies and building services in Python, .Net Core, KDB, Javascript, etc... We are open-minded about our technology choices, leverage and contribute to open-source technologies.

We are not only invested in our clients but also our people. We strive to provide opportunities for our employees to learn, grow and have a healthy work-life balance. We have a casual work environment and a number of social activities.

Who We Are Looking For

Our UI developers have an exciting technical role with an opportunity to learn about the business. You will get exposure to a wide and growing range of technologies, built on a top quality technology stack. Our high-profile, critical sales and trading platforms need to be feature-rich, extremely stable and perform well, and you will learn how to apply these principles in your work.

The successful candidate will be able to influence and collaborate globally, adapt in a fast-paced changing environment. We are looking for someone with an entrepreneurial approach, creative and who will push the boundaries while managing risk appropriately.

Responsibilities

Great opportunity to learn from and influence across a range of businesses and asset classes while collaborating with a talented group of individuals, both locally and globally. Work directly with traders, salespeople, strategists in a high-pace environment.

You will join our Cash Squad, responsible for delivering Sales and Trading services for the European Core desk while collaborating with the wider team on global deliveries. You will work closely with the Sales and Traders, identifying ways to improve their productivity, respond to client demands or reduce risks to the business.#LI-PW1
