Location: You will be working in a hybrid mode, likely to be 3 days a week from the office in Dunfermline and 2 days from home, open to discussion.

Schneider Electric has a great opportunity for the right person to join our UK team as a .Net Developer in our Dunfermline Office.

Your mission:

To develop, support and enhance core business systems and applications, and to provide integration to other internal systems. The individual will be an integral part of a professional team and will be responsible for all aspects of software design, development, testing, integration and deployment.

Your key responsibilities:

* Development, maintenance and enhancement of applications and systems while adhering to company quality standards.

* Work with the fellow team members and business colleagues to understand functional and business requirements.

* Ensure ongoing awareness of current and emerging technologies/ methodologies and how these can be introduced to existing and new systems within the business. Assist in introducing best practice into the Development Team.

* Any other reasonable duties as advised, from time to time, by management.

About you:

Developer skilled and knowledgeable in Microsoft .NET technologies with a proven track record in developing and delivering high quality business applications and web-based services to tight deadlines.

Essential skills in:

* Microsoft C#.NET 4.0+ & .Net Core

* ASP.NET 4.0+

* JavaScript/JQuery/Typescript

* Web Services or WCF

* Microsoft SQL Server 2008-2016

* Microsoft operating systems

* Visual Studio--******

* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate well at all levels.

* The desire to talk to our business colleagues, and the ability to do so non-technically.

* A love of technology and a desire to learn, get qualified and mentor.

* A drive to continually keep up to date with modern technology trends and the ability to embrace new approaches to software engineering.

* An ability to take difficult problems and come up with well-designed but pragmatic solutions.

* Results orientated, with the willingness to take responsibility for task estimation and to then commit to delivery.

* Ability to prioritise and co-ordinate activities, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred

* Use of an Agile Development Methodology, including business analysis and facilitation skills.

* LINQ

* WPF

* IIS

* Microsoft SQL Server technologies - SSRS, SSIS, Service Broker

* Dependency Injection & IOC – Autofac

* Service Oriented Architecture Approach – NServiceBus experience preferable

* ORM experience beneficial – Nhibernate, EntityFramework, Dapper

* Unit & Integration Testing

* Microsoft .Net Core 2.0+

* Azure & Cloud technologies

* Progress (Telerik) Kendo Control Suite

* OpenAPI & Swagger

* Angular
