Overview / Responsibilities

Wood have an opportunity for a motivated individual to undertake monitoring at a range of sites across the UK, manage equipment stores and undertake data processing.

This is opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to support our broad range of public and private sector clients on a variety of projects, within the UK, Europe and globally. Key requirements include having a positive hands-on attitude and the ability to work in a variety of environments and settings across the UK in accordance with detailed technical operating procures and method statements. You should also have the desire to continue improving performance in all aspects of your role and have the flexibility to travel and work away from home for extended periods.

You would join and contribute to our successful and expanding remediation and ground engineering team. We are seeking to grow our world class team to ensure we continue to deliver the high calibre of service and technical excellence both we and our clients expect.

This role would be based in our Reading, Bristol or London office but with travel across UK and overseas for specific projects or longer-term assignments.

Key Responsibilities

* Site works including gas and groundwater monitoring
* Support in the management of site equipment within stores, inclusive of arranging servicing and quality checks
* Site works including soil logging and sampling
* Ensuring that all work is delivered in line with procedures and processes and to the highest quality and safety, health and environmental standards

Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications:

* Relevant A Levels/BTEC Nationals
* Candidates with a relevant technical degree would be considered but it is not a requirement

Experience:

* Ability to work effectively both in a site environment and within an office
* Ability to work successfully both in a team and independently
* Knowledge of the land contamination regime within the UK (desirable)

Skills/ Attributes:

* Communicate effectively, listen and engage
* Flexibility to work across the UK and overseas for specific projects or longer-term assignments
* Ability to develop in your technical area and to continually seek to improve performance in all aspects of role
* Work in collaborative project teams to achieve results by effective communication, sharing of information etc
* Data handling, including experience in the use of GIS/QGIS is desirable
* A full UK driving licence is required
