What is the Role?

This role will be assisting the mechanical engineer in delivering mechanical and building fabric projects across a variety of building in West Sussex. These projects will need to be supervised to CDM 2015 regulations and SMSTS training is vital. The management and leadership for onsite staff and sub-contractors will be the core activities to ensure projects are delivered on time and in budget.

What do I need?

- Experience delivering projects in a variety of building types in an FM environment from small to large projects.

- Experience as a plumber and be qualified to C&G 6035 (Plumbing), C&G 6189 (Plumbing and heating) and NVQ level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent. You'll also have familiarity with Unvented water ticket and an ability to work to Water Supply Regulation and Control of Legionella L8 requirements. Gassafe training is desirable.

- Experience working on commercial or industrial heating, water or building service systems.

- You will have a good knowledge of health and safety requirements. SMSTS trained.

- Be able to manage and lead direct and sub-contractors on site to meet H&S requirements, deadlines and ensure the project is delivered profitably.

- Be able to work on a computer compiling information for O&M manuals. Good Microsoft skills are required.

- Excellent customer relationship skills to build a relationship with the client at all levels.

- Excellent organisational, time management and people skills.

- A rounded knowledge of risk and compliance and demonstrable planning and project management skills.
