Mechanical Site Supervisor (Water & Waste) - (180000VU)

We are now recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Site Supervisor to be part of our Southern Water delivery team for the current AMP and beyond. You will support the site manager in maintaining a safe working environment
for all employees, supply chain partners and visitors.
* Ensure that
all relevant health and safety documents are correctly recorded.
* Check that all
relevant documents adequately describe the work to be carried out
* Supervise work
to ensure that it is carried out in accordance with method statements and
work Instructions from the project manager
* Record the
progress of works on record drawings or
Other suitable means when required
* Inspect and
record incoming materials and their documentation when required
* Record the
location of materials within the works where traceability is required
* Record all
non-conformance and improvement opportunities and agree action with the
person in charge of the works
* Recognise the
health and safety considerations are central to all tasks and contribute
to ensure safe working environments for all
Liaise and co-ordinate with all functions to support the overall business objectives
In conjunction with the Site Manager, appraise the
security risk to all GT property under your control and install
security levels commensurate to the relative values.
* It is incumbent upon all members of staff to maintain standards of discipline that accord with the Conditions of Service
H&S and Environment:
Safety is the

and Safety considerations are central to all tasks and contribute to ensuring
safe working environment for all.
* Actively support the
Site Manager to maintain and enforce safety standards as required by statute
and in accordance with Galliford Try's Safety Policies
* Work to Method
Statements and Risk Assessments.
* Ensure compliance to
all HS&E policies and procedures
Quality & Document
* Understand and
implement the Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and Targets;
* Comply, as appropriate,
with the processes contained within the GT BMS;
* Suggest improvements to
the GT BMS when they become apparent.
* Ensure 4 Projects is
used as document management system
Experience and Qualifications:
ONC/HNC/HNC or equivalent
* Substantial experience within the Water and Wastewater industry, including
installation of process packages and field pipework
* Knowledge of
track record of managing/supervising mechanical sub-contractor
experience working on Southern Water sites
* Proven experience of working within Water /
Wastewater, and experience of managing Civil and MEICA interfaces and
Must have following training/competencies:
* CSCS Managers Category
* First Aid Trained
