What is the purpose of the role?
The Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Technician is responsible for the day to day planned preventative and reactive maintenance, general repairs and the rectification of faults of machinery on our waste water pumping stations. You will ensure all equipment at the pumping stations are working properly; by undertaking inspections and testing work and that all work carried out complies with current regulatory standards.

Each day can present its own challenges and you will work towards achieving the highest equipment efficiencies through routine maintenance, breakdown repair and improvement work. Those with a can do attitude and who can work efficiently are paramount to what we require to enable us to provide an exceptional service to our customers.
What will this role involve?
Carrying out planned and reactive work; electrical installation work to inspect, maintain, fault diagnose, test, install, modify or repair as appropriate, mechanical plant and associated electrical equipment, in a safe efficient timely and effective manner.
Diagnose problems quickly to ensure a minimum amount of downtime by taking a proactive approach to improving Communicate and review planned preventative maintenance schedules.
Investigate and diagnose complex faults and carry out repairs during incidents.
Provide technical advice where appropriate, making reference to up to date technical knowledge, and providing training or support for technical trainees if required.
Ensure health and safety is adhered to Complete jobs to the required standard noting any findings on your company device and following the required reporting methods.
What are we looking for?
We are keen to see applicants who have a BTEC HNC in an electrical subject. You will possess C&G electrical engineering following an Indentured apprenticeship in electrical engineering, or NVQ level 3 - electrical engineering. Knowledge and awareness of Health and Safety issues relevant to the industry is desirable as is having the ability to work with minimum supervision, under own initiative to design and standards. Due to the nature of the role a valid driving licence is required

This role is based at Witney STW with a salary of up to £32k depending on experience and qualifications.
