WeAreEDF and are leading the transition to a cleaner, low emission electric future, tackling climate change and helping Britain achieve net zero. A new opportunity has arisen within our Joint Design Office (site based team), part of the Engineering Directorate, responsible for providing Engineering to site activities. This is an exciting opportunity to reinforce UK-based site engineering to respond to site-based engineering queries and problems, to deliver the schedule and to deliver an increased scope of work. This decision led to the creation of the Joint Design Office (JDO), on HPC site, launched in April 2020. The successful candidate will be expected to travel sometimes to Bristol when required to spend time within the Project Management team (based in Bridgwater House) and with the MEH Alliance (based in Temple Quays office)

Key Responsibilities within the team;

* Contribute to the handover packages when equipment is transferred on site to ensure the acceptance of the engineering aspects.

The Skills

* Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.

* Experience applying multi-disciplinary technical knowledge within the nuclear industry.

* Ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders, particularly those in a site environment.

* Ability to work independently, be pro-active, report on and escalate relevant issues.
