Job Title: Mechanical Craft Team Member
Business: Tata Strip Products UK
Location: Port Talbot, South Wales
Salary: £28,770 + Benefits

The Role
We are currently looking to recruit a Mechanical Craft Team Member at our Port Talbot site. Within the role, you will perform preventative maintenance and inspection work and provide expertise and resource to identify and rectify faults in complex systems to ensure manufacturing continuity.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring all activity is undertaken within Health, Safety and Environmental requirements and in compliance with company and legislative requirements. The jobholder will work as part of a team to ensure engineering performance on an ongoing basis, support engineering development plans and identify opportunities for improvement.
You will service and refurbish key critical items of plant in line with our preventative maintenance programme.
What are we looking for?
Applicants will be qualified to ONC/NVQ 3 level , which will have normally been obtained through a craft apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or hold a Modern Apprenticeship certificate
You will be required to have relevant plant experience in mechanical systems and be capable of the safe execution of engineering repair work.
We require applicants to have the ability to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills and be computer literate. The ability to work without close supervision, yet under pressure and to tight timescales is essential.
