Materials TechnicianLocation: Gravesend, KentAre you experienced in Aggregate and Asphalt testing? Do you hold a full UK driving licence + towing capability?FM Conway is currently seeking to recruit a Materials Technician to join our laboratory based in Gravesend, Kent. People first, go home safe.The Materials Technician RoleAs our Materials Technician you will focus on ensuring that our products are of the highest quality, so that our customers can enjoy the very best service and products on offer.Responsibilities of our Materials Technician- Performing all routine quality control testing and inspections, both in the laboratory and the field.- Ensuring that any testing / inspections are carried out at the correct frequencies, to the correct standards and completed in a timely manner.- Maintaining the highest standards throughout the entire process, thus ensuring that accurate, factual reports can be issued to both internal and external clients by the laboratory manager.- Ensuring that as part of your duties that ongoing compliance with UKAS, ISO 9001 processes are maintained.- Working closely with all members of FMC at all locations to promote a proactive approach to material testing.- Ensuring that records of all test results, any observations and remarks are made and kept.- Working in a safe manner ensuring the health & safety of yourself and others, in keeping with FMC SHEQ policy.- Reporting any incidents in a correct and timely manner.- Ensuring that the laboratory and equipment are well maintained and kept clean and tidy.What we’re looking for in our Materials TechnicianWe are looking for candidates with a full UK driving licence with towing category.
