Job Description

Purpose

As a Materials Manager your role is to lead the team of material planners to ensure sustained delivery of operational results, including supply assurance, service and innovation in Purchasing/Planning process.

The associate should have 5-7 years materials planning experience with at least 3 years within a leadership position. The associate should have a proven track record in supplier development and how to manage projects and KPIs around the materials management and planning processes.

Key Responsibilities

•Play a hands on, leading by example role ensuring that your team deliver against the material and planning expectations of your customers.

•Daily check to MRP requirements and order statuses to ensure delivery dates are achieved

•Updating Order delivery date to accurately reflect confirmed delivery date.

•Accurately and timely maintaining process and control data information in the system. No escalations. Quick reaction for requests.

•Actively champion and lead team projects and process improvements

•Ensure order processing and timely follow up of acknowledged material.

•Work closely with the management team within supply chain, logisitics and warehousing to ensure calegic working.

•Measure your departments performance via appropriate KPIs to ensure customers expectations are met.

•Analyzing the problems- 5Y and putting in CAPA/

•Creation and analyze of forecasts, S&OP process.

•Analyzing, managing, communicating division problems connected with suppliers during division calls.

•Coordination and responisbility of trainings for new team members.

•Play a critical part in the supply chain leadership team.

Qualifications & Experience

•A strong leader with the ability to motivate and communicate at all levels throughout the business.

•Results focussed using fact-based decision making.

•Positive and proactive, taking ownership of issues.

•The ability to work under pressure, and to tight timescales.

•Creative and innovative approach to problem solving, with the ability to clearly identify the root cause of issues and define effective corrective actions.

•Introducing an ERP system (SAP preferred) would be a significant benefit but not preferred.

•HR / Disciplinary, performance management experience

•Proven leadership experience

•Commercial education or relevant bachelor degree

•For external and internal candidates SHL test on minimum 50% score.

•Fluent English communication skills (B2), level of other foreign language depending on business/market/team requirements.

•User skills in SAP (MM, PP, SD module)

•User skills in E8 is a benfit but not essential

•Analytical skills.

•Solid knowledge of purchasing/planning processes based on previous job experience

•Computer and data entry skills (Microsoft Office and email)

•Proactive approach to problem solving and self-starter

•Solid communication skills, with ability to handle multiple requests

•Ability to work in multinational environment
