We have a Manufacturing Manager position available in our RIO division located in Santa Clara, CA.
Job description/Person specification
• Production Planning
o Use existing planning tools to plan manufacturing operations (production & materials)
o May need to update planning tools or migrate existing planning system to a new MRP system
o Plan for future growth
• Production Supervision
o Hands-On Supervision of a team of technicians to meet production requirements. Will need to spend time daily in the Manufacturing Area.
o Scheduling shifts & overtime that technicians work.
• Supplier & outsource management
o Manage suppliers relevant to manufacturing (schedule, flow of material, quality)
• Technical Supervision
o Understand all manufacturing process steps
o Provide technical supervision to technicians in coordination with process and test engineers
• Quality/Process/Yield/Cost Control
o Identify, analyze and resolve production issues
o Collect process control data, analyze them and calculate yields in coordination with quality engineer
o Maintain and update all quality documentation regarding manufacturing processes
o Propose and execute Yield and process improvement and cost reduction initiatives
o Present regular updates on all aspects of manufacturing operations and quality
• BS in Engineering
• 10+ years manufacturing experience in an optical or semiconductor manufacturing environment
• 5+ years hands-on management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong Knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint
• VBA knowledge desired
• Knowledge of active optical component manufacturing desired
• Good presentation skills
• Some travel will be required
