The focus of your role
Capgemini Invent's Customer Experience & Analytics practice delivers innovative customer-centric experiences and insight-led business excellence for our clients. Our Analytics team is growing and we are looking to recruit consultants who combine consumer products expertise and consulting skills to help generate real insights about consumers and translate this to actionable recommendations for our clients.
You will have the opportunity to define, design and deliver industry-leading consumer insights services that help consumer products companies develop a detailed understanding of the people that they serve. You will help some of the world’s largest CPG organisations develop intimate, personalised relationships with their consumers through the combination of digital and traditional data sources at scale, and help them use these relationships to improve business performance. This role will involve a mix of analytical and soft skills, as you act as the bridge that brings sophisticated analytics to life through creative and compelling storytelling
What you’ll do
You will advise our clients on how to optimise their engagement strategies with consumers, through the creative application and analysis of consumer data. You will be instrumental in inspiring marketers with the possibility of using social & business analytics to target consumers in an effective way, and driving an improvement in the speed and effectiveness of brand communications and new product released. You’ll use your understanding of consumer products organisations to drive the increased adoption of analytics across all areas of the business, including marketing, media, sales, innovation, ecommerce, and supply chain.
You will work at the leading edge of the industry acting as an advisor to tier one Consumer Products Companies, helping them to deliver and embed analytics capabilities, supporting processes, operating models, and governance. Finally, you will be working closely with technology delivery partners on behalf of our clients, bridging the gap between business and technology to delivery great, digitally-enabled consumer experiences.
What you’ll bring
You’ll be a talented consultant with both analytical and client-facing skills and experience in a major blue chip organisation or consultancy company within Retail or Consumer Products. You’ll be looking to apply creative thinking and innovative methods to your clients’ business needs. You’ll bring drive and commitment to own and deliver outstanding work, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In addition, you’ll have the following experience and personal attributes:
You’ll have a track record of academic achievement (first degree in a numerate subject e.g. Maths, Stats, Industrial Engineering, Economics) and ideally a MSc. post-graduate qualification in an analytical subject such as Operational Research, Management Science, Statistics or Decision Science. You’ll also be proficient with Excel and Simul8/Vensim/SAS/SPSS/R.
You’ll have the ability to combine rigorous analysis of complex issues and the development of insights and solutions with strong general consulting skills and the ability to present and deliver to Senior Management or CXO level.
You’ll be at ease working in mixed teams of colleagues and senior client executives and bring a proactive, can-do attitude to project delivery. You’ll need to be credible, with the gravitas to engage effectively with C-level / CXOs on a peer to peer basis. You’ll demonstrate consulting professionalism and flexibility – able to adjust positively to situations that involve changing tasks and/or location, shifting priorities or ambiguity. Whilst you will have London as an office base location, you must be fully flexible in terms of assignment location, as these roles may involve periods of time away from home at short notice.
We offer a remuneration package which includes fixed salary, and in addition for Senior Consultant and above, you will receive variable compensation dependent on company and personal performance. We also offer flexible benefits options for you to choose to suit your own personal circumstances.
