Amey Consulting Scotland deliver projects throughout Scotland and further afield from bridge inspections to the design, construction and maintenance of nationally significant road schemes. Some projects current to our Scotland teams are the development of the A96 Dualling East of Huntly to Aberdeen, Design of the A90/A937 Laurencekirk Junction, the Scottish Trunk Roads Network Management Contract (STRNMC) and a wide range of roads and bridges design schemes on behalf of local authorities throughout Scotland. .

Our multidisciplinary teams encompass all aspects of investigation, design and construction of roads, bridges and civil structures, geotechnical engineering, ITS and lighting, rail, environmental consultancy, utilities, BIM and transport planning schemes. We pride ourselves in working collaboratively within the team, stakeholders and our clients to deliver innovative and practical engineering solutions.

The Role:

The maintenance Manager is responsible for the management and delivery of all maintenance services relating to the TSOIC contract. The Maintenance Manager will report directly to the contractors representative and will work closely with the Infrastructure Manager. The role includes line manager duties for roadside and depot-based staff.

In a typical week you will:

* Work with the Infrastructure Manager to secure the delivery of contract requirements for maintenance and fault response aspects of the Traffic Scotland equipment and assets including associated KPI deliverables.

* Work closely with the New Infrastructure (Services) Manager regarding the maintenance aspects of new infrastructure.

* Deliver reports and input for reports relating to the condition and status of the assets and the maintenance programme.

* Ensure that a programme of electrical testing and certification is in place to meet statutory and contract requirements.

* Ensure that there is high availability of the Traffic Scotland Equipment.

* Establish a close working relationship with the Traffic Scotland Systems Contractor so that the boundaries of maintenance responsibilities are clear.

* Ensure that all staff are trained and competent in the duties they undertake

* Work with the Infrastructure Manager to achieve an incident and injury free safety culture, including close liaison with the contracts Health and Safety advisor and playing a key role in monthly Health and Safety meetings.

* Ensure there is a winter resilience maintenance plan in place.

* Ensure there are adequate resources to deal with reactive maintenance.

* Meet planned maintenance targets.

* Line manager duties for roadside and depot-based staff.

* Management and operation of the contract depot.

* Liaison with client and attendance at various meetings/calls regarding service delivery.

We want to hear from you if:

* Engineering or business qualifications – minimum of HNC

* Electrical engineering experience and qualifications would be a distinct advantage.

* ITS maintenance sector knowledge and experience.

* Line manager / supervisory experience within an engineering environment.

* Health & Safety – comprehensive knowledge.
