Maintenance Fitter for Asphalt & Contracting / Asphalt / Operations

Job Description

Opportunity for a Timed served Mechanical Engineer (City & Guilds Certificate).

Working as a member within the area maintenance team, including effectively maintaining all machinery and equipment in order to minimise downtime and maximise productivity. You will be required to undertake all aspects of mechanical repairs needed to support and service the plant operation on a shift to shift basis.

To work closely with the site staff and Management to ensure the sites targets and objectives are achieved.

To provide excellence in safety standards and to support site management in ensuring robust process for control of maintenance activities.

Description of Team / Department

Working at part of a small maintenance team providing in house maintenance resource to the production team

Purpose of / Responsibilities of the role

Health and Safety of self and others

*

Assist as required in mechanical or other engineering tasks within area of competency

*

Carry out duties and assigned activities in compliance with statutory requirements and the Company's Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Management
systems

*

Assist management in planning electrical maintenance and construction schedules

*

Become familiar with instrumentation systems on site and assist management in inspections, Maintenance, calibration and repair as necessary

Skills / Experience

Looking for minimum of 3 years experience in a similar industrial setting.

Relevant mechanical engineering qualification
