We are currently looking for an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join our friendly team based at Halcombe Quarry, Somerset.

Role Responsibility

As the successful candidate, you’ll provide an effective link between the Operations and Engineering team. Delivering a high level of service quality to varied Mechanical Engineering related activities. You will be working closely with all members of the facility, in effectively carrying out preventative maintenance tasks and responding in a timely manner to breakdown repairs with a keen eye for continuous improvement.

The Ideal Candidate

To be successful in this role you will ideally have experience in the repair, maintenance and upgrade of an Aggregate and Asphalt processing plant. You will also:

* Have relevant skills in fabrication and welding

* Have good knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems (is desirable not essential)

* Be flexible in your working approach

* Be organised and have excellent communication skills

* Be computer literate (Microsoft Office)
