Role overview

* Communicate to Maintenance team on changes to department key performance indicators
* Ensure Health & safety compliance is adhered to by craft and contractors including preauthorisation of contractors before works begin
* Managing on site craft teams and third-party sub-contractors ensuring they complete tasks, as per site safety compliance guidelines and work completed to site-specific standards
* Ensuring maintenance plans are executed as outlined
* Continuous review of maintenance works to identify potential improvements for resources and assets
* Providing relevant maintenance schedule information to maintenance planner
* Referencing OEM documentation to ensure all tasks implemented as per document specification
* Liaise with maintenance teams for continuous improvements, problem solving and harvest a culture of right first time
* Maintain a positive and enthusiastic approach to your job and set the highest possible standards for yourself and your team
* Contribute to root cause analysis and engineer solutions to prevent reoccurrence
* Identify individual and team development requirements and bring these to the attention of the Line Manager
* Prepare and operate within annual maintenance budgets
* Prepare and submit reports as required.
* Assist in carrying out feasibility studies on improvement projects
* Undertake any other reasonable duties as necessitated by your function

* Level 8 Qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Time served Fitter with 10+yrs of mechanical supervision
* Experience with heavy mechanical engineering equipment

* Excellent problem solver with ability to understand complex problems and communicate effectively
* Applies a rigorous approach to problem solving and maintains accurate records
* Builds positive relationships with all stakeholders across the organisation.
* Actively seeks and accepts responsibility
* Displays “A can do Attitude” coupled with the drive and ability to get things done.
* A Self-motivated individual with the ability to work off own initiative.
* Displays a desire for continuous improvement and professional development.
* Keep up to date with advancements and developing trends in the cement industry.
* Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel
* Strong People Management Skills, with ability to manage a team of Maintenance Technicians
