Maintenance Assistant - New Papworth Hospital

We are looking for a Maintenance Assistant to join our Facilities team based at the New Papworth Hospital just outside of Cambridge.

You’ll:

*

Complete tasks either as part of the PPM system or work issues as part of the planned work programme to an appropriate standard. This will include for example the following:

-work in plant rooms, on engineering services, medical devices (beds, trolleys etc), portable equipment, catering equipment and fixed plant or on building fabric related work.

*

Undertake correctly and to a high standard the work associated with PPM (planned maintenance programme) or for planned work either when assisting a craftsperson or a technician or when working alone.

*

Documentation is to be correctly completed as part of the record systems management requirements.

We’re looking for:

*

Some previous maintenance/handyman/caretaker experience

*

Knowledge of building services and general building maintenance

*

Evidence of working within acute health care premises would be advantageous (but not essential).

* Working Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday – Friday with some flexibility to work overtime at weekends.
