M&E Co-Ordinator/ Project Engineer - (180000WF)

Within this role you will be responsible for coordination of M&E design outputs
with subcontractor packages to ensure the design solution is correctly
subdivided, interpreted and implemented by the supply chain.
We currently have a number of packages of work associated with Southern
Water Non-Infrastructure Framework Agreement during the AMP6 period and onwards to 2025 for the delivery of design and build water
and wastewater projects across West Sussex, Hampshire and the Isle
· You will provide effective MEICA coordination
across assigned projects to the supply chain, support to tender team, design to
ensure the most cost efficient and effective delivery of MEICA elements of
·You will be required to liaise with the Engineering Team to provide technical support on all aspects of MEICA project scope during
pre-target cost setting phase, ensuring accurate costing is achieved
·You will be responsible for the coordination the delivery
of all aspects of MEICA work on allocated Projects/Programmes of work, working
closely with and providing support to the site delivery teams
·Supporting the relevant Project Manager in all MEICA
related matters will be a part of this role
- Provide MEICA support to
all GTSWP delivery functions across the whole project lifecycle;
Coordinate, challenge and
optimise MEICA technical solutions; ensuring compliance with design and
At all times focus
positively on the client and customer
Liaise with PM’s, QS’s
and designers to provide timely and efficient MEICA procurement
Understand and implement
Quality, Safety and Environmental Policies and Targets
Inspections and actively promote safe working and behavioural safety
Provide an effective
MEICA technical interface with the client (TSA);
Develop and own the MEICA
Report into the
management teams on all aspects of MEICA delivery including performance,
forecasting and key issues;
Operate rigorous change
control procedures and deal effectively with technical queries;
Establish a reputation
for MEICA technical excellence;
Ensure early involvement
and engagement with the commissioning teams;
Capture and share best
practice and embed and drive continuous improvement.
Manage and motivate allocated
Participate in SW
Framework Supplier selection where required
inspections and Factory Acceptance Tests
Ensure MEICA Project
Documentation requirements are met.
Experience and Qualifications:
·Substantial and relevant
experience covering both water and waste water and a sound understanding of treatment
·Demonstrable track record of delivering
water and wastewater non-infrastructure projects including experience in design
and build and the coordination of both Civil and MEICA
- Understanding of NEC3 conditions of
Procurement and management of
Engineering / Technical Degree or equivalent
in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Preferably registered with the relevant
Relevant CSCS card
Strong background in Water / Waste
Water (or related engineering industry) project delivery and design
Contractual knowledge in NEC forms of
Knowledge of current legislation
Strong drive to lead a safety oriented
Ability to work in a team environment
contributing across a business unit or area.
Good management skills with the ability
to motivate employees to achieve high standards of compliance.
Excellent organisational, planning and
time management skills; able to manage projects simultaneously without
compromising standards and quality.
Sound knowledge of the water industry.
Ability to ensure standards and
specifications are met.
Ability to work with senior management
to set operational targets.
