Masters Quarry supplies washed and dry screened sand to the construction industry. Description of Team / Department

Quarry Operative for Masters Quarry Hyde, full time permanent position, 47.5 hrs Mon – Fri, overtime as and when required.

Reporting to the site management team, the successful candidate must be willing to learn and be flexible in their approach. Be able to work on their own initiative and under strict health and safety legislation. You will be working as part of a hard working team and will be expected to carry out a variety of tasks within the production process.

We are currently looking to employ a quarry operative, based at Masters Quarry, Puddletown Road, Wareham. Reporting to the Quarry Manager, applicants will be responsible for day to day activities, processing washed sand and lorry loading.

Applicants will have a knowledge of quarry operations, plant and equipment with relevant training and competency cards (CPCS or MPQC) be familiar with Health & Safety and environmental requirements.

Duties include, but not restricted to; operating Loading shovel or 360 excavator, operating the fixed wash plant, general maintenance, cleaning of wash plant and daily checks.

Applicants will have a proactive outlook to safety and work well within a team.

Purpose of / Responsibilities of the role

Mobile Plant Operator Loading shovel CPCS or MPQC, fixed wash plant operator, general processing plant maintenance and cleaning.

Skills / Experience

Loading shovel, FEL, Mobile Plant Operator, Certificated by CPCS or MPQC to operate mobile plant, good communication skills as all lorry loading instructions are verbal.
