Salary: £68250- £91000 plus Benefits to included Car or car allowance, Discretionary Bonus, Private Medical Insurance, Pension, Flexible Benefit (4%) and 30 days Holiday.

Our Commercial Digital Banking function is leading the way in finding new and innovative ways to allow us to become the best bank for customers. To help us achieve this, our architecture team are at the forefront of bringing new solutions to our customer base and meeting their changing needs.

As the Lead Architect for Commercial Digital, your role would focus on the following goals:

You'll set the technology direction for a significant transformation programme/portfolio of projects, and lead the definition of the architecture blueprint and implementation for that portfolio.

Reporting to, and working closely with the Head of Commercial Digital Solutions, you’ll lead a team of c10 Technical Architects and be accountable for managing their workload and prioritisation, as well as setting the architectural direction for the platform as part of the broader Digital strategic direction.

You’ll take responsibility for ensuring the architecture is able to meet the objectives of the transformation programme, as well being pivotal to the successful implementation and operation of the commercial digital platform.

The sheer pace and scale of change taking place requires those with a flexible work approach, to our cross-functional delivery teams, taking an active role in establishing and participating in agile delivery.

Essential Skills, Qualifications and Experience required to do the role:

• Must be a proven team leader / have leadership experience

• Experience of commercial clients, understanding and meeting their requirements

• Defining and Developing Architectures for Digital Banking Platforms

• Technical Lead in all phases of software delivery lifecycle (onshore and offshore)

• Must demonstrate ability and experience in leading production incidents and technical recovery

• A passion for new thinking, new ideas and continuous improvement.

• Hands-on technical and leadership skills to lead all technology teams towards a target architecture that enables the business to achieve their ambitions.

• Experience of defining and developing Architectures for Digital Banking and Commercial Banking Platforms is essential for this role.

• Your ability to form and manage deep relationships with key business and technology stakeholders and form persuasive arguments for change

Skills, Qualifications and Experience required to do the role:

• Experience of working in an Agile environment, alongside management of vendors suppliers working in other delivery methodologies

• Knowledge / experience of solutions utilising Websphere environments, and complex application integrations

• Review and Assurance of design/development work products

• Contribute to project planning, delivery and optimisation

• Experience of large business critical transactional processing systems in Financial Services or similar industries is preferred

Skills, Qualifications and Experience we would also like to see:

Experience of Digital integration with core banking systems such as Customer, Account, Payments and/or Treasury.

A strong business and technical understanding (including Java and/or REACT) plus full SDLC experience.

Ability to display hands-on technical and leadership skills to lead all technology teams towards a target architecture that enables the business to achieve their ambitions.

Experience of defining and developing Architectures for Digital Banking and Commercial Banking Platforms.

Ability to form and manage deep relationships with key business and technology stakeholders and form persuasive arguments for change.
