Growth position IT Service Management and BCP Program Director

We are actively looking for an IT Director candidate who is a self-starter and looking for growth. This is a new position that will initially focus on building upon an existing IT Service Management function. The candidate for this role will maintain and establish the processes, procedures and accountabilities Service Management of IT Operations using ITIL frameworks and principals as well as providing coordination and execution of BCP/DR activities. The right candidate would be looking to learn and grown in this area with our company. The candidate would now focus on fully establishing the vision and opportunity of this role to lead the organization’s Service Management and BCP function Dev/Ops and QA delivery team.

Role Overview

The IT Service Management Program Manager is responsible for developing and implementing business practices for CBSC IT functions and teams. Service Management is defined as “a set of organizational capabilities for enabling value to stakeholders in the form of services”; this includes:

* Ensuring the delivery of CBSC IT services meets the expectations of key stakeholders and delivers value to the organization
* Development of sustainable processes (Continual Service Improvement, Request Management, Change Management, Incident Management, and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery) for both CBSC IT and third-party service providers in the IT space; this includes both “business” providers (e.g., Deluxe), and IT providers (e.g., Fortitude Re, Ensono, etc.)
* Identification, collection, and reporting of relevant metrics to enable targeted reporting and promote root cause analysis across all processes and providers
* Provide planning and management of business continuity and Disaster Recovery for the organization. This role will include documentation, verification and management for business disruption events.

Goals

* Monitor and influence key IT capability decisions to drive delivery of value
* Ensure IT services align with business strategies
* Provide a delivery framework to be utilized across all CBSC IT service providers
* Report on meaningful metrics within the IT organization and to key stakeholders
* Reduce risk (operational, financial, residual, continuity) through applying best practices, economies of scale, root cause analysis, and other techniques to drive availability and consistency of IT services
* Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
* Ensure compliance with AIG IT constructs (as applicable)
* Ensure consistent operating environments and crises management during internal and macro environmental events impacting business continuity

The Role

* Maintain and enhance a governance program for CBSC IT services including:
* Value delivery – how can we demonstrate our value to stakeholders/partners
* Strategic alignment – are we structured to best support the needs of the business
* Performance management – what are the meaningful metrics and how are we performing against them
* Risk management – have we established the appropriate processes & controls to minimize/mitigate IT services risks within the established CBSC Risk Management Model

* Maintain and enhance a governance program for CBSC Operational BCP and DR including:
* Planning - Identify and maintain an up to date recovery and resiliency plan for operational activities including supporting IT systems
* Coordination - Ensure plans and activities are maintained/reviewed/approved by department heads and senior leadership
* Management - Lead coordinator during business disruption events leading executives through the plan and associated data to re-establish services for our customers.
* Risk management – Proactively identify business disruption risk and drive mitigations with internal and external providers.

* Process development, implementation, and monitoring
* Prioritize key IT service delivery processes
* Identify existing processes and complete a gap analysis both from a best practice perspective and from a “value to the stakeholder” perspective
* Develop, test, and roll-out processes for CBSC IT functions and/or IT service providers as applicable
* Develop metrics that clearly demonstrate how CBSC IT is functioning, identifies issues, and promotes root cause analysis
* Ties metrics to customer services and end customer outcomes.

Attributes and Qualifications

* Works independently with minimal guidance to drive projects to completion, while also working collaboratively with the team to achieve strategic goals
* Professional, clear, and concise verbal and written communication to internal customers, subject matter experts, upper management and other audiences
* Strong deductive reasoning, critical thinking, problem solving, prioritization, attention to detail and consultative skills
* A collaborative team player who will solicit and offer input and support decision-making
* An action-oriented, execution driven person would be ideal
* Proven organizational skills (time management and prioritization) that can employ a rigorous process for all follow-up/coordination activities
* Comfortable working in a continuously changing, fast-pace environment - balancing multiple priorities, special projects, and other activities
* Ability to deal diplomatically and effectively at all levels of the business including both technical and non-technical staff, management and senior leadership
* Experience in process assessment, development, and governance for both IT and business functions
* Working knowledge of IT functions and technologies
* Program Management experience
* Experience in the development and implementation of a governance model

Scope

* Covers all IT Service Management functions and service providers
* Has responsibility for Business Continuity and Incident Management across all CBSC functions
* Reports to the CBSC CIO
