As an intern at Thales, you’ll step right into our world. You can expect to come face to face with big innovations, collaborate on real projects and learn from the best. In fact, every internship with Thales is unique to the project and area you join. Not only will you gain world-class experience, you’ll be ready to step up to new challenges with confidence and could find yourself in a great position to be fast-tracked to a graduate position with us in the future.

Thales Belfast has an opportunity for an intern to join the Systems Engineering department for a 9-12 month fixed term internship. In this role you will gain “hands on experience” of working as a Systems Engineer with the support of the company’s experienced employees.

You will gain experience of all aspects of the Systems Engineering lifecycle – customer needs, system requirements analysis, architectural design, integration, verification and validation. The role will introduce you to key systems engineering tools and processes and you will be supported to work towards accreditation with an appropriate professional institute. You will be given accountability for various aspects of the systems engineering activities as part of your development in this role.

In addition to the professional systems engineering learning you will also undertake activities that will support your wider personal development (such as working with teams, developing awareness of your personal interaction skills etc).
