Where in the world of OVO will I be working?
The Industry Operations department is made up of a range of teams working on Industry data and associated processes. Our main function is to manage and correct industry data within Smart Support. Successful candidates will have a passion for identifying better ways of working, an interest in learning more about the complexities of the Energy Industry in terms of managing industry data.
OVO Group is an innovative energy technology company with a mission to make clean energy affordable and available to everyone. Its core business, OVO Energy is the leading alternative energy supplier in the UK providing power and gas to 1.5m customers. In addition OVO Group provides a range of energy related technologies and services such as home heating insurance and intelligent energy products.
What will I be doing?
The work includes triggering and resolution of issues with dataflows; as well as ensuring remedial work is undertaken to resolve metering/service issues and also technical support during Smart metering installs.
The key responsibilities within the role can include:
* Providing case management and administration support for queries
* Managing daily processes
* Resolving complex industry data mismatches and queries
* Building and maintaining day to day relationships with 3rd parties
* Investigating exception issues on customer’s statements that prohibit billing
* Ensure SLA’s and all associated work including case management and call support is of the highest possible standard
* Identifying areas of improvement, whether these be process or system driven and getting involved in projects that can further improve BAU effectiveness
* Talking to customers where applicable to aid in swift issue resolution

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a complex and varied department with the opportunity to move around between teams and develop a broad but deep knowledge, if you've got strong administration skills then that's a great start! It's not a deal-breaker but it's a plus if you've got experience of Operations within an energy business and are keen to further develop your expertise within these areas.
