About the Role
The Transport and Infrastructure (T&I) Water team in WSP are seeking Fluvial Hydraulic Modellers to join our fast-growing team providing water environment services for WSP from our offices in the North West.
As part of the growing T&I national water team a typical week would include:
* Being an integral part providing support both locally within the North West and around the country
* Helping to deliver highway and rail projects both nationally and internationally
Our projects range in size from smaller local authority development to large scale national projects including those delivered by Highways England, Network Rail and HS2. We also lead the provision of airport drainage services within WSP working on schemes globally.
The successful candidates should have technical expertise in fluvial hydraulic modelling software such as Flood Modeller Pro, Tuflow and/or Infoworks; although the successful candidate will be supported by a network of experienced modellers that will support further development in these packages.
The candidates should be working towards Chartered status with CIWEM or the ICE and have technical expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas:
* Fluvial hydraulic modelling;
* Flood Risk Assessment;
* River engineering and scour assessment;
* GIS packages;
* AutoCAD, Civils 3D;
