HR Data Analyst - SAP

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking to work and develop within a well-established and forward-thinking team.

The purpose of this role is to extract, analyse and deliver HR Data to the wider business, used by Amey (principally SAP). The role will form part of a team that produces both regular and ad-hoc data and management information used by senior management and other stakeholders across the business. The chosen candidate will be responsible for maintaining and developing the companies Power BI platform – this will involve obtaining, visualising and analysing new data sources, working closely with stakeholders to implement changes, improving existing reporting and maintaining access and security. In addition to working with HR data, you will also be exposed to data from other areas of the business and work alongside teams that deal with data from different functions.

This role is a full-time permanent role based in Liverpool.

Responsibilities

Management Information

* Building, running and analysing reports from SAP using Query Manager, Ad-hoc reporting and other SAP transactions

* Extracting data from Amey’s other HR Systems

* Provide innovative and interactive reporting visuals. This will be mostly though Microsoft Power BI, but also Excel dashboards and reports

* Ownership of the infrastructure for the data behind the reports created. Mainly, using SQL but also through Microsoft Excel VBA

* Creation of reports that help inform business decisions through insightful MI

* Input into the regular KPI Performance Dashboard for HR Shared Service Centre

* Gather, organise, summarise and analyse a variety of raw data sets identifying patterns or trends within the data sets

* Working on BAU requests for data or systems supports adhering to SLAs, working with customers to document and map out requirements where necessary

Support, Process and Projects

* Ability to understand user requirements and transform into agreeable, deliverable service

* Involvement in projects and providing supporting data sets to assist with process improvements

* Maintain effective change management and version control across all deliverables, in line with existing practices

* Drive continuous development of stakeholder relationships through engagement

* Input into the strategy of the team, incorporating the MI objectives of the wider Shared Service department and also contribute to the strategy of the centre as a whole

* Working closely with stakeholders across the business to develop reporting

* Involvement in business initiatives by providing relevant dashboards that measure targets and achievements

What are we looking for?

Skills and Experience - Must haves

* Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables, advanced formulas etc.)

* Data transformation and analysis

* Adhoc query and transactions used to extract SAP data

* Experience in a similar role

* Input into the design and direction of platforms as well as the creation

* Excellent attention to detail

Skills and Experience - Desirable

* Power BI

* SQL (database creation and management)

* Query Manager (SAP reporting tool)

* Excel VBA and Macros

Experience working within a HR Shared Service environment
