Our business plan for the next 10 years is clear and so are the strategic drivers which will enable this. The key to these strategic drivers is our people and that’s where our People function play a critical role.
Having recently been through a transformation phase ourselves the function is now set up to deliver the requirements of our business stakeholders. Adopting an Ulrich business partner and centres of expertise model we have a team of HR professionals who are experts in their disciplines and are bringing innovative and exciting ways of working to Murphy.
As a HR (People) Business Partner you will be at the forefront of the People team interacting with senior stakeholders on a daily basis and ensuring that we are developing our talented people and driving a high performance culture. There is plenty of work to do and as we build up more robust data on our employees we are enabled to share this insight and be data led in the way we coach advise our business leaders. The heart of the role is based around being a great communicator, exceptional at stakeholder engagement at all levels and not afraid to get stuck in as part of our winning team. Working with colleagues across our wider People team we have the ability to influence the People agenda to ensure its fit for purpose for our stakeholders in pursuit of our 10 year plan ambitions. Sound judgement and a pragmatic approach are need to solve some of the complex issues we can face. Typically our days are spent working with our leaders to ensure they have the right structure, the right people and a high degree of capability in their teams to achieve their business aims. This means that there can be challenging conversations from time to time and excellent negotiation and influencing skills are also needed.
The People Business Partner will play a key role in evolving the HR model at Murphy and will have a real opportunity to influence and put their own stamp on our business. Allocated to a group of business units you will work with senior leaders to develop and enable their people plans across a full remit of HR disciplines. You’ll be supported, developed and coached by our People Leadership team and work alongside colleagues who bring a range of skills and experience from across many sectors. Working as a team we are clear on what we need to achieve and how we are going to achieve it. We now need more like minded people to join us to make our plan come to life.
