We are seeking enthusiastic and talented Engineer to join the team our integrated WSP / Norfolk County Council Design Consultancy based in Norwich.
Our long term contract with Norfolk County Council started in 2014, and has the potential to continue right through to 2026. The performance results for the first four years are a success story for both WSP and Norfolk County Council, so the signs are good and the working environment is definitely positive and upbeat.
The role would be based in a modern highways design office in Norwich and covers an interesting and varied workload – from major highways improvements through to a diverse range of small and medium highways projects.
Your role will be at the heart of one of our high performing teams, using your technical skills and expertise to help us continue driving forward in terms of both technical quality and service efficiency.
A typical week would include:
* Designing schemes using the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges
* Project management of schemes
* Financial management
* Working in a to NCC quality procedures in a fully embedded role within a joint WSP/NCC team.
We’d love to hear from you if you have:
* Experience of highways design using Autocad, MX, Civils 3D, micro drainage or similar
* Experience in working in a local authority environment the application of the NEC suite of contracts
* A degree in Civil Engineering or relevant experience and achievement of or working towards incorporated status of a relevant professional institution
