Group Leader - High Voltage Battery System Engineering

The successful candidate for the above role will retain their current employer, i.e. if you are a Jaguar
employee you will continue to be administered on the Jaguar grading structure with the associated
terms and conditions. If you are a Land Rover employee you will continue to be administered on the

WHAT TO EXPECT
Using state-of-the-art facilities, you’ll provide the power behind our vehicles working in our Powertrain Engineering team. You'll find the ideal balance between performance and sustainability, while responding to the environmental issues that shape our industry.
In your new role as a Group Leader, you’ll be part of Powertrain Engineering, which is responsible for the design and development of all power units and drivetrains for our products. You’ll be responsible for our Electric Vehicle and Hybrid systems, applying a robust system engineering process within the High Voltage Battery Group.
You’ll be developing a comprehensive generic requirements deck for high voltage batteries at a system level, driving agreement of key level requirements with external 3rd parties and suppliers. You’ll also be leading issue resolution, problem solving, and internal agreement on best practice, as well as the decomposition of battery level requirements to the battery subsystem and component level.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
You’ll be degree educated in a relevant engineering discipline, bringing experience of system engineering within the automotive industry or a similar environment such as aerospace, rail, or nuclear. You’ll have designed lithium ion batteries, particularly those used in vehicles, and you’ll have deployed problem solving within previous roles using the 8D processes or Six Sigma tools.
You’ll need to be an exceptional communicator and self-motivation and a high degree of initiative will be part of your skill repertoire.
