Graduate Site Engineer The Role: We are looking for a Graduate as part of the @one Alliance with Anglian Water. You will be
responsible for the day to day surveying and setting out duties on sites across East Anglia –
Norwich, Cambridge and Peterborough. The successful candidate will be given the
opportunity to gain experience in other departments including temporary works design,
planning and estimating as part of an approved Institution of Civil Engineers training
The Anglian Water @one Alliance is a collaborative organisation of consultants and
contractors working together to deliver more than half of Anglian Water’s capital investment
programme. We design and construct water and water recycling (waste water) treatment
centres that serve more than six million people in the East of England (and Hartlepool
Water) and maintain and improve the water mains and the sewerage network in the region. Key Responsibilities: Engineering control Setting out of civil engineering and building works on various sites within the company’s
Understand and interpret the drawings and specifications.
Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise at any time.
Communicating and liaising effectively with colleagues,
Thinking both creatively and logically to resolve design and development problems.
Health, Safety and Environment Maintain standards of safety and comply with the company’s health, safety and environment
management system requirements.
Take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others in the workplace.
Quality control Ensure quality control requirements are met and recorded in accordance with specification.
Assist with compilation of as built drawings.
Interacts with stakeholders around specific work efforts and deliverables.
Able to work within a given budget.
Key measures & targets: Accurate and timely setting out of the works
Timely handover of works and Quality records without outstanding defects
Key relationships: Develop friendly and professional relations with site workforce and the customer's technical

Essential Newly graduated or due to graduate
Relevant work placement experience advantageous but not essential.
Civil Engineering degree or equivalent.
Held student membership of the Institution of Civil Engineers.
Excellent communication skills.
