Graduate Process Engineer – Sittingbourne, Kent

We have an opportunity for a Graduate Process Engineer to join our busy and growing team in Kent.

The role is based in Sittingbourne and will primarily support our remediation team to design, install, commission and carry out O&M of our remediation equipment to be deployed on site across the UK either by the Environmental Claims and/or the Remediation service line.

The successful candidate will be required to assist our Engineering Manager with the organisation of all the engineering related activities of projects. This will consist of the installation, commissioning and maintenance of our bespoke remediation equipment, procure materials and contractors and provide feedback from sites, whilst ensuring compliance with Company procedures.

The work involves an interesting mix of office and site-based work and requires an adaptable approach to assist with, sometimes, urgent response situations.

Duties will include:

* Testing and maintenance of Ecologia’s treatment units and equipment before deployment on site and for long term storage when returning from site.

* Installation, O&M and development of remediation units on site, including PLC software programming.

* Assist Engineering Manager in the preparation of Health and Safety documentation for in relation to site engineering processes.

* Assist Engineering Manager in the preparation of technical drawings associated with the design and installation of the remediation system,

* Assist with the procurement, supervision and liaison of suppliers and contractors involved in the installation of remediation systems.

* Undertake remediation site inspections to ensure that equipment is functioning properly.

* Monitoring and collating data from in-situ remediation systems.

We will generally expect the successful candidate to:

* Qualified to degree level in an engineering related subject; however, work-based experience or other technical qualification will also be accepted.

* Of foremost importance to have a flexible, positive and proactive attitude to work.

* Have a good working knowledge of standard Office 365 Microsoft packages.

* Have basic skills in using AutoCad and a basic understanding of PLC logic programming albeit in house training will be provided.

Candidates with CSCS card are encouraged to apply albeit the company will provide the necessary training.

The ability to work as an effective member of a team and on your own initiative will be essential, along with excellent communication, organisational and problem-solving skills. Under current Pandemic circumstances there is also a requirement to be able to work effectively from home.

The job will require a willingness to travel across the South East and beyond; a full UK/EC driving licence is essential.
