Ground Heat are one of the UK’s leading providers in ground source heat pumps. Ground Heat specialises in the installation of ground source heat pumps and battery storage. Ground Heat has worked on many large projects those including the installation of the first shared ground loop system in Europe at Clifford Lamb Court in 2015 for Northwards Housing; the first system using coaxial bores at Albion Towers, Manchester (2018); and three projects for Salix Homes using the most advanced remote monitoring system in the Europe (2019/2020).

Due to continuing growth, Ground Heat Installations Limited are now recruiting for a Graduate Mechanical & Electrical Engineering to join their ever-growing team based in Wigan. This would be a great opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their skills and knowledge in mechanical and electrical engineering.

Graduate Mechanical & Electrical Engineer – Wigan

Responsibilities:

* Processing pipe flow rates

* Generating pipe runs for our installations and issuing clients with appropriate reports

* Contribute and disseminate feasibility reporting

* Undertake system sizing, calculations, and selections

* Work alongside the Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors on various sized jobs

* Draft, finalise and submit specifications

* Willingness to be flexible in regards to working hours

Experience:

* Full UK Driving License

* Basic Heating/plumbing knowledge is desirable

* University degree or college qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering

* Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Outlook, Word and Excel

* knowledge of PipeFlow software

* Ability to work well under pressure but also work well under own initiative
