We are looking for an exceptional person to add to our growing Ground Risk and Remediation team in our Cambridge Office.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the day-to-day delivery of projects, working closely with and being supported by team members, Project Managers and Directors. Activities will typically include investigating, assessing and remediating contaminated sites.
The position would suit a background in Environmental Geoscience, and/or site investigation and looking to move into consultancy. Some post-graduate experience in undertaking site investigations, groundwater and ground gas monitoring, sample collection activities and supervision of contractors is preferable, although not essential.
The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, practically minded, confident and self-motivated, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Having flexibility working within a team setting is essential.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
* An appropriate degree and / or Masters.
* A full UK driving licence is essential
* Basic understanding of current contaminated land technical guidance, fieldwork techniques for sample collection and monitoring and health and safety practices/risk assessments.
* Basic understanding of different reporting requirements and styles.
* The ability to organise and analyse technical data.
* Ability to understand the importance of prioritising safety, health and environmental issues.
* Ability to understand the overarching principles of safe working, including HSE Systems.
* Commenced a route to a professional membership.
(This role will require moderate levels of travel around the SE England region with occasional nights away from home.)
