Graduate Engineer - Highways
This is an exciting opportunity for a fresh Graduate Engineer with a real passion for civil and structural engineering design. Joining the Highways Engineering team in our Leicester Office, you will play an active role in providing a full project management and design service for a wide variety of highway related projects. You will develop a range of valuable skills, experience and knowledge as you provide support to a variety of projects including delivery of high profile public realm improvements, major highway projects, bridges, developer schemes and utilities. Due to the incredibly varied nature of our work, it is vital that you’re highly flexible and keen to learn and grow in all the areas in which we work.
The Highways sector is seeing significant investment from both the Government and the private sector and this is a real opportunity to support our ambitious growth plans. You will learn from and gain experience with a team of highly skilled and experienced engineers who pride themselves on their ability to deliver projects that exceed client expectations.
Working for or alongside Senior Engineers, Project Managers and CAD Technicians you will produce innovative civil/structural design solutions from feasibility through to the production of detailed construction information. You will gain a strong working knowledge of relevant industry procedures and standards to satisfy or exceed client requirements. Opportunities can be created to become involved in commercial and project management matters to support your development and pursuit of a relevant professional status.
A keen interest in developing skills in civil & structural engineering. You will also have great communication skills, a collaborative approach and a proven ability to deliver on your promises. • Commitment to achieving professional qualifications in engineering/chartered status
• Proactive approach to new skills and learning
• Knowledge of some relevant software solutions (not essential)
• Driving licence
• Suitability for security clearance
