About the Role

What you’ll be doing

At WSP we are known for our in-depth understanding of the ways soil, rock and groundwater influence the design of our structures and infrastructure. Our geotechnical and ground engineering teams work closely with structural and civil engineers, architects, planners, and clients taking projects from concept, through early planning and on to construction.

As a Graduate Geotechnical Engineer at WSP you could have the opportunity to work on high profile projects such as the re-development of Curzon Street Station, and contribute to strategic infrastructure improvements like the M25 widening, or one of the wide range of Smart motorways schemes for Highways England.

All in a day’s work
Our Geotechnical teams work across a range of sectors providing support to many different clients from government agencies to private developers. They contribute to many different aspects of our projects, from site works through the design phase and into construction.
As a Graduate Engineer you could get involved in visiting site, participating in site surveys and ground investigations, report writing, interpretation of data and design calculations. Your day might also involve assessing risk, analysis using 3D software packages, liaising with contractors and clients and attending meetings with the team about the scope and progress of projects.
