About The Opportunity

The location is flexible in all Driveline regions and would be based on the suitable candidates location.

Leading global multi-site cross-functional teams to execute GKN Automotive Stage D (Production and Product Change Project Management) programmes from initiation through to stable mass production, achieving targets (time, quality & savings) and meeting all stakeholder expectations & requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the execution of one or more complex Stage D – Production and Product Change projects for Automotive products globally across multiple sites/regions and customers, ensuring adherence to the GKN Automotive Production Change Project Management (PCPM) process, to deliver approved targets i.e. time, quality and savings.

2. Establish core team and lead cross-functional teams to manage projects from feasibility assessment to implementation.

3. Define comprehensive project plan, including timing plan, risk management activities , ensuring alignment with customer requirements and internal stakeholders across functions, APQP requirements and based on the Stage D process requirements.

4. Set targets for all individuals involved and monitor progress against plan. Identify deviations and take corrective actions including interactions with members of the Driveline Executive Team to provide timely escalation to ensure all concerns are addressed and resolved in acceptable timescales.

5. Drive Account Teams in the management of the customer interface to ensure GKN Driveline business objectives are met during launch.

6. Drive tracking of product costs for changes based on Stage D0 targets with Finance support. Develop, obtain approval for, and subsequently track spend against programme budget throughout programme duration. Identify any significant deviations & seek re-approval of budget as appropriate.

7. Coordinate the execution of pre-production and/or customer Production Trial Runs.

8. Ensure storage of project documentation in an online workspace to facilitate information sharing within the project team. Ensure project status is kept up-to-date in the online reporting system (VIP).

9. Ensure management are kept aware of progress against approved targets, via the Change Management Committee (CMC) and by using Value Improvement Project (VIP) online reporting system escalation.

10. Lead all Stage D required Gate reviews with the appropriate levels of management (via CMC).

Essential Qualifications & Experience

University degree or equivalent

Essential Competencies

Proven project management & team leadership skills

Cross cultural sensitivity & good influencing skills

High action orientation and track record of driving change across various functions and organisational levels

Structured way of working

Sound knowledge of GKN business, products and processes

Proficiency in English Language plus relevant local language
