About the role
Balfour Beatty Vinci has an exciting opportunity for a GIS Developer to join our team to work in Birmingham.
Responsible for developing the GIS System and GIS technology across the project.
What you'll be doing
* Demonstrate BBV Behaviours
Acc Developing the software components for ESRI ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Portal, ArcGIS collector and Survery123
Acc Developing FME workbenches and automating data loads to the database
Acc Managing data loads to the central database system
Acc Creating GIS requirements to be used across the project and teams
Acc Converting data between coordinate systems
Acc Ensuring that GIS deliverables are to our clients GIS standards and specifications Engage directly with the clients GIS experts
Acc Engage with down-stream users to help improve their work
Acc Represent the project to the wider core businesses at quarterly forums, share lessons learnt amongst the business unit and education practices through briefings/demonstrations
Acc Providing training for the team
Who we're looking for
The following qualities/experience are essential:
Acc Experience with development of web interfaces.
Acc Experience with ArcGIS Online/ArcGIS Portal.
Acc Experience with FME Desktop or FME Server.
Acc Experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap or QGIS.
Acc Experience with ArcGIS Server 10.x.
Acc Experience working with databases e.g. PostGIS.
Acc Experience with automating tasks and creating workflows.
Acc Experience with working with many evolving datasets.
Acc Collaborate with the client and subcontractor to meet their requirements.
Acc Mentor and train team members on GIS processes.
Acc Able to be innovative and bring new ideas to the project.
The following qualities/experience are desirable:
Acc Experience with ESRI stack tools such as ArcGIS collector, Survey123, ArcScene, Dashboards
Acc Experience converting data between coordinate systems
Acc Experience of QGIS
Acc Knowledge of BIM
Acc Knowledge of Python scripting.
Acc Knowledge of GIS/CAD data formats and types e.g. ESRI Geodatabases, Geotiffs, DGN/DWG
Acc Knowledge of 3D tools
Acc Knowledge of PowerShell
