Lithos is a medium, independent geotechnical and geoenvironmental consultancy based in Wetherby. Operating across the North of England, our core clients include plc residential and commercial developers, landowners, local authorities and banks. We have a proven track record as an inclusive, people orientated company, providing structured training and career development in a supportive working environment.
We are currently seeking a Geoenvironmental Engineer who is looking to develop their skills and experience to work in our Wetherby office. You would be working on projects that vary in size, nature and complexity in the North of England, with a broadly even split between site and office work. Our purpose-built office is an easy commute just off the A1 with free parking. Its semi-rural location offers a 5 minute walk into town and the opportunity to cycle into work.
You will have graduated with a degree in geological or environmental sciences (or similar) and have two or so years’ industry experience with an understanding of UK geology and a basic knowledge of UK construction practice. You will be looking to develop your experience by taking on challenging projects and more responsibility whilst being fully supported, working directly with and learning from directors and other senior employees.
Joining us, you won’t be working away from home or stuck on site for months on end; you won’t be desk based, working behind the scenes either. With Lithos, you will progress your career along a sound technical basis by doing real engineering consultancy, working with directors and senior engineers from day one.
We are able to offer you:
· A competitive salary and half yearly profit related bonus scheme.
· An easy commute, impressive working environment in a semi-rural location
· Employee share scheme
· Generous pension scheme and annual leave
· Payment of professional subscriptions
· A formal, structured training programme from Graduate to Associate Director, leading to professional/chartered status in your chosen field
If you are interested in this role, please email your CV and covering letter. You can find more about this role and what we do on the Lithos website.
