Job Summary
Our expanding Asset Management Group is seeking Monitoring Engineer candidates who can support ongoing growth.
The Asset Monitoring Team specialise in measuring and forecasting dynamic behaviour and health of civil infrastructure and earthworks using established and innovative technologies, including drones. With clients, we specify, develop and implement instrumentation and monitoring (I&M) systems to baseline performance, detect behaviour and mitigate risk of failure. We offer consultancy to optimise construction methodologies, and asset management strategies through analytics and early warnings.
The role will require supporting the Monitoring Manager in technical and operational roles in an expanding team.
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Proactively promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for all staff
Developing I&M specifications and regimes
Data visualisation, analysis and interpretation of data in accordance with the scope and technical standards and/or statutory requirements
Assisting with planning and preparation of site work
Undertaking site-based duties, including installation, commissioning and maintenance of monitoring instrumentation and traditional optical surveying/monitoring
Production of well written technical reports and other deliverables
Supervision and mentoring of junior staff
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Requirements:
Demonstrable experience of surveying, investigating and/or monitoring civils assets e.g. structures, earthworks.
Knowledge and experience in I&M and Geomatics techniques, including their application.
This may include:
the specification of techniques
the installation and commissioning of monitoring instrumentation and systems
the visualisation and analysis of data
Knowledge and experience using traditional Geomatics techniques.
Knowledge and experience using remote monitoring systems and emerging technologies.
Preferred Qualifications

Relevant Degree/MSc Chartered or proactively working towards professional registration or certificate
