Due to continued success we are now on the lookout for a Section Foreman in our Southern Region to initially work on a £15m highway scheme on the A2300.

Main Duties

* Supervise the work of operatives and monitor the work of Sub-contractors

* Ensure HSE systems are implemented satisfactory in accordance with company procedures

* Ensure all operations are carried out in a safe manner

* Carry out toolbox talks/briefings/inductions on a regular basis. Ensure that all RAMS briefings are carried out.

* Ensure use of materials to be in accordance with specification

* Supervise labour, plant and materials to achieve programmes.

* Regularly monitor warning signs and protection systems

* Keep daily records of work carried out, including daily allocation sheets

* Check and ensure that operatives and sub-contractors have necessary competencies
* • Ensure use of materials to be in accordance with specification.

* Supervise labour, plant and materials to achieve programmes.

* Where applicable on large and/or demanding projects, work under the direction of a General Foreman, undertaking roles on a defined section of that project.

* Ensure high standard of quality is achieved to meet Specification requirements.

* Compete Daily and Weekly inspections in accordance with the company procedures and HSE legislation.

Are you the person we are looking for?

We need someone who is conscientious, hardworking, IT competent and is excellent at keeping records. Must also have experience in people management and motivation of staff.

Already experienced as a Section Foreman with previous experience in highways, infrastructure, structures and flood defences, you will also have relevant industry experience and qualifications including CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid at Work. NRSWA would also be desirable.
