Financial Reporting Manager

WYG are an International Engineering Consultancy with revenues in excess of £100m. Following the acquisition by Tetra Tech Inc. in 2019 the business is undergoing an exciting period of change and growth. To support this growth, we are looking to recruit a talented Financial Reporting Manager to join the finance team in Leeds.

In this newly created role, reporting to the UK Region Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the finance team. Ideally, you will be ACA qualified looking to make your first move from practice to industry or be a qualified accountant with significant Financial Accounting experience gained in industry.

The role will encompass all elements of corporate reporting including preparation of the annual Statutory Financial statements and ongoing reporting to the US parent company. You will also take the lead on taxation, treasury and in managing the audit process.

In addition, you will be involved in a variety of projects including acquisitions and system implementations and be expected to deputise for the UK Region Financial controller.

More specifically, you will be responsible for:

* Preparation of all statutory accounts, including liaison with the external auditors;

* Managing reporting requirements with the US parent;

* Review of accounting pronouncements and other corporate reporting developments;

* Acquisition review and accounting;

* UK tax (VAT, Corporation tax and PAYE) compliance;

* Treasury management;

The person

This is a very important role within the finance team with significant scope for career development. You will be able to demonstrate:

* Strong technical knowledge of IFRS [and ideally US GAAP];

* Group consolidation experience;

* Experience of preparing statutory accounts;

* Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with colleagues at all levels;

* Motivation to learn and develop.
