You will assist in the day to day running of both sewerage system and associated assets; working across Milton Keynes or Letchworth area. The role requires prompt action in response to reactive work and a significant input into planned activities. The key purpose of this role is to:
Respond to customer complaints and/or enquiries
Take responsibility for the effective and efficient use of those Company resources under their control
Drive Company vehicles, to carry out routine checks
Comply with Health and Safety procedures.

What does it take to be a Field Technician?
The ideal applicant will have the following attributes:
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
Full driving license
Exposure within the sewerage environment is desirable but not essential
Basic IT skills
Able to work on you own and ability to use your own initiative
Excellent customer service skills
Great communication skills
Our sewerage network is a vital operation and therefore operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Flexibility is key as you will be expected to work on a rota of 37 hours per week over a 4-day period. Some weekend and evening work will be expected. This, combined with the need to cover standby, means the role would most likely suit someone living in or near the Milton Keynes or Letchworth areas and has a flexible approach to working hours.
If successful in your application, you will benefit from access to a company vehicle, so a full UK driving licence is essential (preferably with an entitlement to drive vehicles up to 4.5 tons). If you are offered the role, the status of your driving licence may be checked.
