Position purpose statement

RPS Water Operations delivers both clean and wastewater services to our clients across the breadth of the UK and Ireland. Within water operations we are looking to align our purpose and promise to our strategic priorities of making RPS a great place to do great work, delivering great work for our clients and making it easy to work together. The position of Field Team Leader is at the heart of our strategic priorities, in delivering great work for our clients by providing excellent customer service and executing complex operational tasks. Whether you are starting out or taking the next step in your career, this position provides an opportunity for you to grow with RPS.

The Field Team Leader will deliver great work for our clients by leading a team/s to deliver an excellent service by executing both complex and operational tasks. The role will be expected to champion, engage and guide the team on industry best practice techniques and methodology. The role will report to and operate under the guidance of an Operations Manager and give clear and concise information, mentoring and coaching to Technicians within their team. The role will have leadership and compliance responsibility for the team and process management.

Key responsibilities/accountabilities

* Meeting all responsibilities as outlined in the RPS HSE policy and management systems
* Participating and delivering training and safety initiatives implemented by RPS
* Complying with all reasonable work instructions and safety directives
* Stopping work if it is not safe to continue
* Reporting immediately any incident or potential hazard to their supervisor
* Listening, consulting others and communicating proactively
* Demonstrating the skills and knowledge appropriate for the position
* Sharing expertise and knowledge with others and demonstrating flexibility
* Showing initiative and adaptability.
* Showing ability to view projects from the Client’s perspective
* Demonstrating and promoting RPS behaviours
* Working with clients to build relationships based on trust.
* Processes Applying specialist and detailed technical expertise and experience
* Demonstrating compliance with RPS systems and processes.
* Developing job knowledge and expertise through continual development
* Demonstrating an awareness and concern for safety in the workplace
* Producing accurate and timely job reporting
* Performance Leading site-based team/s providing excellent customer service
* DMA performance, ensuring all 4 x KPI’s are met
* DMA Nightline monitoring and reduction
* Defect monitoring and control per area/team
* Solving complex operational problems.
* Promoting the development of less experienced colleagues.
* Ensuring quality by applying best practice techniques to individual tasks
* Contributing to the continual improvement of best practice and new technology
* Demonstrating an understanding of regulatory targets

Education and Experience

* Commitment to working safely with excellent health and safety knowledge and awareness
* Must be located within the West 2 are of NI (Enniskillen to Newry)
* Experience of leading in a water operations environment
* Water industry background – 4 years and above
* The desire to collaborate, work in a team orientated environment and promote development
* Full UK driving licence essential
