What is the purpose of the role?

The field services coordinator is the key point of contact, accountable for the coordination of resources to support the programming and planning of the teams' work stream projects across the Thames Valley region. Supporting with the planning of works for the trunk main project and the network mains upgrade programme, you will be responsible for ensuring that all planned works are processed through our internal SAP system, ensure there are adequate resources available and you will report on a regular basis regarding performance and worked carried out in relation to our statutory targets and KPI's. You will provide specialist advice and knowledge as appropriate and will ensure that statutory obligations and Thames Water policy and standards are maintained at all times in the field. You will also attend workshop meetings and visit sites. There will be a need to carry out network activity from time to time.

What will this role involve?

Managing specific activities within the Thames Valley area, you will be responsible for:

Coordinating resources for regional projects, updating the internal system as necessary.

Responsibility for the effective planning and scheduling of field related activity using SAP and Click Mobile.

Co-ordinate all planned activity with external partners.

Ensuring work is planned according to all requests received and customer impact is in line with Thames Water policy.

Ensure all works adhere to the Permit to work system.

Supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of all team members.

Promoting a culture of Safety at Work and utilise the Safeguard Hazard system.

Log all Water Quality samples and monitor results to ensure continuous works flow can occur.

Deliver excellent customer service and continuous improvement.

What are we looking for?

To be considered for this role, we are looking for an exceptional coordinator who is confident managing multiple workloads at one time. You will be extremely organised in your approach and will possess strong written and verbal communication skills at all levels of an organisation. You will be efficient in picking up new company systems and software (such as SAP) and you will be highly computer literate in MS Office - specifically Excel. Demonstrable experience in a similar role is required; ideally within the water industry however this is not essential. The ideal candidate will possess excellent planning qualities, risk management and will have a solid health and safety and customer based ethic. Previous experience in logistics, planning or scheduling would be highly advantageous in order to hit the ground running.

Thames Water information and salary details

This role is offering a salary of circa £28,000 depending on skills and experience and will be based out of our Highworth Depot. You will also receive an enhancement of 28.2% for the banked hours element of the role.
