Southern Water currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Field Performance Manager to join our Water Resource & Production team in Burham, Kent on a full time permanent basis. This role allows for a business needs car and comes with an attractive salary of up to £47,629 per annum depending upon experience.
This is a field based leadership role and you will be required on site at least three days per week. Your role will be to manage the operational teams that operate and maintain Water Supply sites across the Kent region. The Field Performance Manager's position is integral to the Water Resource & Production team ensuring a continuous supply of high quality water to our customers, asset resilience, budgetary performance and employee engagement.
You will be responsible for the safe and compliant operation of all assets within a specific geographical area in the Water Supply function. You will be accountable for the efficiency and productivity of assets and staff members, you will maintain and build on high standards and quality to ensure compliance, serviceability and drive effectiveness.
The primary purpose of the role is to build, lead and direct a competent and effective team that will deliver compliance and high levels of service through this area of the business. You will be in charge of resources, accountable for budget and responsible for a number of sites within your geographical area. You will be expected to act a competent member of the area Field Event Co-ordinator rota leading the team during reactive incidents in and out of core hours, gathering information, and completing a plan to recover service safely and at pace.
This position is 25% people management and 75% operational management, therefore experience in a similar lead role would be ideal. You will need experience in Health and Safety and budget management with an understanding of the UK water market sector and ideally will have knowledge of clean water treatment processes. You should reside within an hour’s commute of Burham and hold a full clean driving license as this position is both office and field based with some remote locations that cannot be easily accessed with public transport.
