F35 Mission Planning Environment Support

the very early phases of operation and is estimated to be a 40-year programme.
We currently have a vacancy for an F35 Mission Planning Environment Support
Engineer at our site in RAF Marham.
As an F35 Mission Planning Environment (MPE) Support
Engineer, you will be at the very heart of a highly skilled and technical air
system with very exciting changes to the Mission Planning Software being
planned for the near future.
This role will provide you with opportunities
within the wider BAE business.
Your main responsibilities as an F35 Mission
Planning Environment Support Engineer will involve:
Interface to the F-35 Industry team and the
Supporting the end user in the use of the MPE
mission planning software
Supporting the installation of the MPE software
and associated components / data
Support to UK-based System Integration and
Validation Trial events
Supporting the MPE development team with
requirements capture, software design and development of MPE software
components according to F-35 / Lockheed-Martin MPE Software Development Plan,
standards, processes, procedures and tools to F-35 Programme and Schedule criteria
Support for the development of Next-Generation
Open Mission Services (NOMS) micro services for uses within the MPE, utilising
the Dev/Sec/Ops agile processes
Your skills and qualifications:
Demonstrated experience being familiar with installation
of bespoke software
Demonstrated experience with IT technical
support and fault finding
Demonstrated experience of Stakeholder
Management / Engagement
Demonstrated experience with operating military
planning and support systems
Demonstrated experience with participating with
Formal Reviews etc.
Comp TIA Security +
Experience developing software
Requirements / Interface Specification
Software Change Management (e.g. System Problem
Experience with military aircraft systems
Knowledge of military fast jet mission planning
Programming experience using C+, Python and
.Net and Java
Experience with virtualisation technologies
VMware and Hyper V
Network administration and system backup
Computer and Cyber security training
Although the role can be fulfilled in English,
foreign language skills such as Dutch, Norwegian and/or Danish etc. would be
Experience with military aircraft software
development, mission planning or maintenance
