Vacancy: Regional Sales Manager

Location: UK – Flexible / Europe

Duration: Permanent

Job Purpose

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing the sales process to allocated customers in the assigned territory. The role contributes to the Chemicals business by driving overall financial performance for the region. This includes identifying and driving growth opportunities consistent with the Chemicals strategy while building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and stakeholders (internal and external) in an ethical and safe manner.

Key responsibilities

* Implement the regional strategy for the business in a safe and ethical manner.

* Manage the sales process for customers from pre-qualification through negotiation to closing profitable sales deals. This may include professional delivery of all proposal documents and tender responses for some allocated customers.

* Deliver effective customer management through robust forecasting and reporting system.

* Build effective customer relationships, implement the commercial excellence tools to deliver value for customers and deliver on financial targets.

* Manage and deliver budget, gross margin and customer contribution for allocated customers and duties.

* Share customer and market insights with relevant Catalyst Technology teams to anticipate market requirements, improving JM offer and solutions.

* Coordinate and collaborate with Technical Service team to ensure superior product performance for customers.

* Providing technical and product advice to customers on suitable products which will drive their project and investment plans and improve their production assets bringing value to JM and customers

* Global management of two large accounts within the EO&O business, explore opportunities across the wider JM with key stakeholders (TFI, PGMS, New markets, Business development and R&D) to develop global account strategy identifying possible areas for partnership.

* Champion change and role model the behaviours for continuous business improvement and success.

Are you the ideal candidate?

You will have:

* Degree in a scientific/technical discipline (ideally Chemistry or Chemical Engineering) OR relevant technical sales experience

* Proven sales and technical sales experience including complex negotiations

* Expertise setting up and managing sales channels and processes

* Detailed understanding of technical product features of the Catalyst Technology portfolio is desirable
