Hours of Work: Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm & Friday 7am-3pm
Established for over 40 years and now one of the UK’s leading & multi award winning Engineering companies, WEC Group Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Engineering Planner to join our team at MTL Advanced, part of the WEC Group based in Rotherham.
This is the perfect opportunity for a motivated and dynamic person to thrive, working within a successful and vibrant team.
The main purpose of the role is to ensure new General Engineering contracts are set up and managed from order placement through to full production to meet the customers’ delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
* Ensure orders are fulfilled from order to delivery
* Main point of contact, ensuring liaisons to manage customer requirements and expectations including variations from original order
* Reviewing customer order requirements against quotation
* Breaking down engineering drawings to produce a bill of materials
* Creating 2D DXF cutting files for use in our thermal cutting processes
* Inputting manufacturing information into our operating system to generate route cards
* Generating process manufacturing drawings
* Raising purchase order requisitions and expediting suppliers
* Liaising with internal departments and customers to resolve queries and expedite progress
* Provide technically sound engineering solutions to achieve effective results and to resolve any potential problems or issues
* Prepare accurate timelines for orders
* Develop a commercial awareness of orders handled
* Achieve On Time In Full requirements
Knowledge, Skills, Experience
* Engineering qualification or good all round engineering/manufacturing background
* Knowledge and experience of AutoCAD and ERP manufacturing systems
* Development of press components
* Ability to communicate effectively both within the company and with external customers
