Job Description:

Are you an Engineer Surveyor looking to progress your career within a market-leading engineering business? Or are you eagerly searching for an opportunity to take the next step up in your Engineering career and become a Team Leader?

At Allianz Engineering, Construction & Power we have an exciting home-based opportunity for an ambitious and experienced Lift & Crane Engineer to lead a team of (circa 10-20) Engineer Surveyors based in Scotland.

We are looking for someone who desires to be challenged, and have a collaborative “can-do” attitude for this brand new position. You will be responsible for managing and leading your team ensuring inspection services are delivered to our customers efficiently.

Your role will be split as an Engineer Surveyor (75%) and as a Team Leader (25%). As a Team Leader, you will be providing first-line support to your direct team of (circa 10-20) Engineer Surveyors, driving to improve process motivation and supporting their ongoing development.

You will be playing a key role in the wider leadership team, supporting Senior Management in achieving staff engagement, efficiency, and productivity.

We will provide you with an unrivalled training programme, supporting you in your development allowing you to excel within your new role.

Responsibilities of the Engineer Surveyor Team Leader:

Effectively plan and undertake all appropriate duties of an Engineer Surveyor including; in-service inspections of plant equipment in accordance with legislation, company Technical Standards, and Health and Safety, as well as to prepare and issue reports of examination.

* Prioritise and organise workload to achieve and deliver company KPI’s and service levels
* Support Senior Management in achieving service delivery targets by building and maintaining rapport with internal stakeholders and customers
* Effectively manage your team to optimise performance levels; including performance management, reviews, and holding regular team meetings
* Provide local forecasting support to ensure regional goals are met supporting your ATOM & RTOM in achieving these
* Undertake and resolve complaint and accident investigations as and when required

Skills & Experience

•In-depth knowledge and experience of working in the Lift & Crane discipline is essential
•Previous experience as a Team Leader is advantageous, however, we will welcome applications from skilled Lift & Crane Engineers
•Successful candidates are required to hold minimum qualifications in Mechanical Engineering - HND / HNC / Full Technological Certificate, relevant to the Lift & Crane Industry
•As a Team Leader, you’ll have the opportunity to develop key skills such as; Leadership, motivation, coaching, problem solving and the ability to influence decision making
•A good level of IT and literacy skills to complete detailed reporting & analysis
•Experience in managing the delivery of a high-quality service to meet KPIs and SLAs
•Previous experience in performance and people management is desirable
