You'll be joined by hundreds of skilled experts, collaborating over the entire lifecycle of a project – from idea, concept and design, to operation and maintenance within our portfolio of tunnels & underground structures, bridges, complex structures, ground engineering and reclamation projects.

DESIGN THE FUTURE WITH A GLOBAL TEAM OF EXPERTS

We are looking for a Senior Engineers with a background in either Civil, Structural or Geotechnical engineering to join our team in York, giving you the opportunity to co-create with our experts on some of the most prestigious infrastructure programmes in the UK. Working alongside the Senior and Principal you'll be responsible for undertaking basic calculations of design work and activities on-site for a variety of civil engineering projects.

On a day-to-day basis, you'll also be responsible for:

* Production of engineering design and details in accordance with project requirements

* Preparation of calculations, written reports and checking of contract drawings

* Checking of design calculations and drawings done by other engineers

* Visits to the site as required

To succeed in this position, we believe that you'll be team player who has excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships with people at all levels across the project organisation and externally.

Furthermore, you'll preferably have:

* A Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant degree

* Previous experience in either rail, earthworks, drainage, bridge, tunnels or geotechnical

* Familiarity with Euro codes

* Understanding of CDM Regulations, specifically the designer’s requirements

* Understanding of requirements regarding the design risk assessment process

* Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team
